The very excellent Sounds from the Thievery Hi-Fi came out over 2
years ago (on 4AD, who re-issued it with a few extras from a
previous release even longer ago). The slick thieves don't seem to
have gained much momentum in the intervening years, imo. Nice
blunted dubs, nothing more, nothing less. Lebanese Blonde, which
came out as a single AGES ago, is about as much of a highlight as
you might hope for.
afaik, they are now on Eighteenth Street Lounge. Home of the likes
of Ursula 1000, etc.
Frankly, my dear, I was disappointed :-)
